Letter from the Northwest Friesian Horse Club President

I would like to personally welcome you to the Northwest Friesian Horse Club. We have some exciting things planned for 2019.

  • Annual Campout Ride and Drive – June 21, 22, 23
  • Clay Maier Clinic – July 26, 27, 28
  • NWFHC Keuring – September 23 or 25

For our Driving enthusiasts we will be hosting Scott Monroe for two clinics this Spring.  Scott is a three times National Combined Driving Single Horse National Champion (2005, 2006, 2011). He has represented the United States three times internationally at the USET level as well as for Canada as a navigator.  Scott has more than 20 years of driving and training experience and is a PATH Intl. Level 2 (Advanced) Therapeutic Driving Instructor, ADS Combined Driving Judge and Technical Delegate. Scott will be at the Ethel Events Center March 22-24 th and May 10-12 th .

A super fun social time will be enjoyed by riders and drivers alike.  We will be hosting the NWFHC Annual Camp out Ride and Drive at the home of Bob and Jeanie Wier in the beautiful McKenna Forest Reserve, June 21-23 rd .  The McKenna Forest Reserve offers 23 miles of gravel roads and trails throughout the gated community.  We will have a meeting on Saturday with BBQ dinner to follow.  Come for the day or stay the weekend!

For everyone who loves Rein Dance and the teachings of Clay Maier we will be hosting Clay for a clinic in Sisters, Oregon, July 26-28 th .
